Like ingredients in a recipe, the soil, climate and natural geography of a wine region all have a role to play in making wines exceptional. Great wine reflects differences in soil and landscape––and no wine on Earth does it better than Pinot noir, the flagship grape of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. But how does this translate into something we can taste? In this seminar we will explore a lineup of stellar Willamette Valley wines while learning how to think about, and talk about, the role of the land in the wines you love.
